Prophecy Program

Prophecy Program is a collaborative summer research held at Media Design Practices, ACCD, Pasadena, CA. The research was led by Andrew Friend and Sitraka Rakotoniaina.

The program is an exploration of possible human capabilities to sense future events as well as an examination of the nature and language of the scientific experiments.

As opposed to a scientific experiment, whereby the compiled data can be of critical importance, the program is interested in the relationship between audience and science, vulgarization, and accurate measurements; emerging from the original claim and intention, and the creation of beliefs and/or skepticism based on the aesthetics of the test.
